What is an iButton?
It’s an electronic key in the shape of a small metal coin.
Each iButton leaves the factory with a unique code, which the reader recognises as soon as you touch it — just like swiping a card, but more robust and much simpler.
Why is it more secure? Because it can’t be copied.
The code is fixed at the factory and there are no unauthorised “copies”.
You can delete it from the system whenever you like.
It works without the internet, the reader simply checks the key and, if it has been added, it opens the door — all security is local, under your control.
